Welcome to the MindSet Training Curriculum

We are proud to have you as a participant and hope that this learning experience will be relevant and rewarding. This training program is an effort to provide you and your organization with a curriculum that is efficient and effective in creating and maintaining the safest possible environment, both emotionally and physically, for everyone involved. The design of this program takes into account the many challenges facing educators and mental health professionals in safely managing both the potential for aggressive behavior as well as the reality of situations where aggression is imminent or occurring.

Ultimately, this training system seeks to enhance existing organizational systems and individual judgments by empowering everyone involved towards establishing a culture of prevention.

Navigating this course

1. Below, you will see a listing of all of the lessons in this course; you can expand each section or all of the at once.
2. Once you start the first lesson; you will be taken to the content of the course, there will be a navigation bar on the left.
3. You can use this to navigate between lessons or revisit completed lessons.

Instructions on taking this course

1. Please have your MindSet manual with you while taking this course; you may need to reference the content when taking a assessment.
2. Once you have read the material and/or watched a video in the lesson, press the “Mark Complete” button to move on.
3. Each lesson will have a short assessment at the end. After completing the lesson and marking it complete, click on the assessment to take it.
4. You will see the circles next to the lesson name filled in blue with a checkmark to show you have completed that lesson.
5. You must go through each lesson in order and complete each assessment in order to move through the rest of course.
6. There will be a final assessment at the end of all of the lesson, you must complete and pass the assessment to receive a certificate.
7. You will need this certificate in order to participate in the face-to-face training.
